Rabbi Avraham Baruch Blau, born and raised in Jerusalem’s Ezrat Torah neighborhood, learned in Meah Shearim, Kiryat Melech under Rabbi Berel Eisenstein, and later at the Brisk Yeshiva with Rabbi Meshulam David Halevi Soloveitchik.
After marrying, he began teaching Torah, eventually serving as a maggid shiur at Yeshivat Shomerei Homot in Ramat Shlomo. He later moved to London, joining the kollel of his father‑in‑law, Rabbi Gershon Hager, while beginning to deliver Daf Yomi three times daily and a weekly Nach shiur that has continued for over eleven years.
Since leaving kollel, he has become a popular and well‑sought‑after maggid shiur, giving a wide range of shiurim across the community in synagogues, homes, and workplaces, and establishing several learning programs for balabatim. For the past two and a half years, he has served as rabbi of Ohel Yaakov in London, continuing to teach widely and guide the kehilla with warmth and dedication.
