Joanne Solomon is an experienced independent occupational therapist with over 24 years in practice, including more than 15 years working independently. Trained in South Africa and now based in London, she has worked across the NHS, charities, and schools, developing deep expertise in supporting young people with learning difficulties, sensory processing needs, and physical disabilities. Her early work in neuro‑rehabilitation laid the foundation for her student‑centred approach, which focuses on building independence, confidence, and essential life skills.
Joanne is known for her collaborative, creative, and empowering style. She works closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored interventions that help students thrive both in and out of the classroom. Guided by the belief that true independence comes from equipping others with the right tools, she helps young people navigate their world with greater autonomy. Joanne also provides supervision to fellow occupational therapists, sharing her extensive experience to strengthen practice across a range of settings.
